That said... A 10.9 metric bolt is roughly as strong on a material basis as US grade 8. Grade 12.9's are about 20% stronger than grade 8.

A stronger bolt will probably break again, but it would take more time. BUT, there isn't anything that says a ARP bolt has a higher fatigue limit than a quality grade 8. Just because a bolt is "stronger" (read: higher UTS) doesn't mean it will last longer in this case.
